Minehead U3A donate to ESRT

Minehead U3A

On Wednesday 28th June we were invited to give a talk to the Minehead U3A group about the work of the Team.  On arrival we were surprised to find a BBC TV News crew there interviewing and filming some of the group.  Thankfully they left before our presentation!

The morning was a great success with the group achieving a record attendance, estimated at about 120.  We received a very warm welcome from the Chair, Cherrie Temple and a very nice thank you from the Vice Char, Tony Perrett.

The group raised £297.60 for our funds from donations, purchase of bears and speakers fee.  A very generous amount which we will put to good use.
