South West Ambulance asked the Teams assistance with the evacuation of a fallen horse rider in a remote location on Exmoor. However the Air Ambulance was able to fulfill the evacuation and the team was not required and were stood down en route.
The Exmoor Search and Rescue Team searched large areas of woodland near Orchard Portman in the search for a 47 year old Male who had been seen last on Sunday night. The search was suspended at 22.00hrs.
The team joined Police, a support group and a Police Helicopter in the search for a 67 year old lady who her husband had reported as missing from a House near Exford. The missing Lady was located safe and well by a Police Dog handler. The team stood down at 23.30hrs
The team were put on Stand by to help the Devon and Cornwall police with a search for a 64 year old man. The team were stood down when Police located the missing person.
Exmoor Search and Rescue Team searched various areas in and around Tiverton for a local 22 year old male, who had been missing from home for over 36 hours. The team's searches were suspended at 22.30hrs pending further Police enquiries.
The team were alerted to the possible need for assistance regarding a motor vehicle incident in a remote location. It was quickly ascertained that the Team were not required.
A walker was reported missing near Tarr Steps, they were located shortly after the team were alerted by the Avon and Somerset Police.
In a continuation of last night's search the team were to be joined by Team members from neighbouring teams, Avon and Somerset Search and Rescue, and North Dartmoor Search and Rescue in order to make best use of the limited daylight at this time of year. However the missing person was found soon after 10.30 by ERST in a new search area close to the missing person’s house. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
A Land Rover was found crashed in a country lane with the engine still running several hours after the occupant had been seen. The missing person was a 49 year old lady with local connections. She was found at around 1.00am by a Policeman, lying in a stream and needing urgent medical care. Exmoor Search and Rescue Team members gave casualty care and used a stretcher and the team Land Rover to transfer the Lady to the Police Helicopter for transportation to Hospital.
A 29 year old lady had communicated to friends and family in such a way that lead to concerns for her welfare. As Exmoor Search and Rescue joined the H.M. Coastguard for the search the missing lady was located at Watchet railway station.
The team were asked to help in the search for 15 Year old male in Taunton. Whilst the team were searching, the youth was found elsewhere by Police. The team then remained in Taunton whilst Police followed up the case of another missing person In Bridgwater, however after an hours wait the team were not required and were stood down at 22.00hrs
Exmoor Search and Rescue Team was called to provide assistance to Avon & Somerset Search and Rescue Team (ASSRT) in an ongoing search for a vulnerable missing person in woods near to Weston-Super-Mare.
A full search of dense woodland was undertaken by both teams, however nothing was found and the teams were stood down.
Whilst exhibiting at Ilfracombe Rescue Day, the Team were contacted by Avon and Somerset Police to assist with the evacuation of a Scout, who had sustained a broken leg whilst on an expedition within Exmoor National Park.
As the Team were arriving on scene, the RAF Search and Rescue Helicopter located the casualty and winched him to safety from Alderman's Barrow.
The team were asked by South West Ambulance to help in the recovery of a casualty by providing a 4 wheel drive Vehicle. The incident had been resolved upon the team vehicles arrival.
Concern for a 14 year old girl lost in woodland was soon resolved.
The wife of a 75 year old male reported him missing after he had earlier gone for a walk in nearby woodland. The Team joined the police helicopter and a police dog in the search of Wind Wood, near Enmore. The missing gentleman returned home at 22.30 hrs safe and well.
The Avon and Somerset Police were concerned for the safety of a 37 year old male. The Team were deployed to search Hopcott Woods and Alcombe Common, near Minehead.
The missing man was located in Minehead and was taken to hospital. The team were stood down at 19.15hrs.
The Devon and Cornwall Police asked for assistance in the search for a 65 year old man. He had last been seen at his care home at 3.30am and reported missing to the Police at 7.40am.
A large scale search was commenced which resulted in the missing gentleman being found lost, but safe and well.
Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team (Okehampton) asked for the Team's assistance at the end of the annual Ten Tors Challenge event to help in the search for two unaccounted for persons.
The missing people were located before Exmoor Search and Rescue Team arrived at the scene.
The Devon and Cornwall Police were alerted by the leader of a group of eleven youths, training for the Ten Tors event. They had not been seen or been contactable since 8.00am.
The situation was happily soon after resolved when mobile contact was made with the group and their location established.
A missing Dementia sufferer from Barnstaple was found safe and well before the Team were deployed.
Exmoor Search and Rescue Team, along with teams from Dartmoor Rescue Group, were asked by Cornwall Search and Rescue Team to assist on the second day of a search for a missing 50 year old lady near Launceston, Cornwall.
It was believed that she had sleep walked from her home in a rural location early on Wednesday morning.
The search had a successful conclusion when the missing lady was located at 21.15 hrs.
An 89 year old man had been reported missing during the morning in central Taunton.
The Exmoor Search and Rescue team, along with the Police and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service started a search of possible locations for the missing gentleman. Shortly into the search, information given to the Police by a member of the public led to a section of the River Tone being thoroughly searched.
The Team were stood down as Police divers arrived to continue the search.

The Exmoor Search and Rescue Team worked with both Avon & Somerset Police and Devon & Cornwall Police in the search for a 51 year old male from Melksham in Wiltshire.
His car had been located abandoned on Brendon Common at 12.30 hrs and there were concerns for his welfare. The search involving around fifty personnel from both the Exmoor Search and Rescue Team and Police forces encompassed wide areas of open moorland and wooded areas.
The search was suspended at 19.45 hrs whilst the Police continued enquiries.
UPDATE: 14/1/2013 - The missing man has now been located.
Avon and Somerset Police asked the Team to assist in the search for a suspected fallen horse rider in the Quantock Hills. A member of the public had earlier been passed by a running, saddled-up horse that was missing its rider. The member of the public spent some time walking back in the direction the horse had come from but could not find the rider.
The Team were deployed and were arriving on site to commence searching for the missing rider as the police continued with their enquiries.
Both horse and rider were subsequently accounted for and no injuries were reported.
A gentleman from Tiverton had taken his dog for a walk on Tuesday afternoon, but had not returned.
As the Team arrived to help in the search for the missing man, a body was found in the River Exe by the RAF Search and Rescue Helicopter. Exmoor Search and Rescue Team's Swift Water Rescue Technicians stood by to help with the recovery, but were not required, as despite the tree cover the helicopter was able to send a winchman down to recover the body.
